Well, we all know by now that I am Miyavi obsessed. Now I get the chance to see him live! ^-^ Leeca and I will be making the wonderful trip to Atlanta, Georgia and back again. ....All in one day. I'm beginning to have flashbacks to a time when we were crazy enough to drive to Baltimore and back in one day. Oh yeah, that was just a couple of months ago o.O
I can't wait!! I'm so excited! Miyavi here we come. Maybe Gackt will travel with Miyavi since they're such great friends. Maybe Gackt was like, "I want to visit the states..." Then Miyavi goes, "Rock on Gackt! You should come with me on my tour and we can hook up with some chicks and party and shit!" -_- I doubt Miyavi would say stuff like that but you get the point.
Lee-lee, I have a present for you! When you get home let me know when you want to hang out so I can bring you your present. It's just something little I made for you. Actually, I'm going to put it on now so I don't forget to bring it to you. Now your mind is wandering isn't it? What could it be? Is it extra special and super fun-licious? Sure it is! |

I had this really crazy series of dreams the other night and they were kind of cool. The first one, I was in an office building and I hear rain outside. I've appearantly been cleaning out this office all day long. When I hear the rain finally stop I look outside the window, but instead of a city there's a rainforest with a long river opening into a lake. The rain had caused the river to start to flood. And oddly enough there are dolphins jumping and swimming through the river. That was it.....nothing else, just broke off in mid dream for no reason. The color theme of that dream was blue-green.
I woke up for some reason or other then went back to sleep and had another dream that I don't really remember. Then came this wacky one ^_^
I was at my dad's house and there was some sort of party going on but there's some group of guys that are trying to steal a baby (don't know whose but I hope it wasn't mine). So I'm trying to sneak the baby out of the house and save it. The leader of the gang realizes I'm gone and sends the rest of the guys looking for me. I had snuck out of the back sliding-glass door and onto the porch. I was hiding in a corner holding the baby waiting for the gang to disappear. The coast looks clear, but the door opens and one of the guys spots me hiding. I don't remember a name or anything but he looked like Jun Matsumoto? He was definitely Japanese, that much I'm sure of. I thought he was going to turn me in but he just grabs my arm, kisses me on the cheek and says, "Go!" I ran into the woods and met up with this farmer in a wheat field ?_? (I told you it was crazy!) He and his wife and two kids, daughters I think, stow me away in their old beat up pick-up truck. At this point the baby is almost nonexistent. I remember thinking "I have to save him, he's important" but I don't remember seeing or holding him anymore. Anyways, we park the truck in some random parking lot and get out. We walk through the woods a bit and come to this beach/river. I say beach because it was all tan and sandy. I say river because even though the sand was beachy it wasn't an ocean, just another river. The farmer tells me I'll be safe here and I start walking along the shoreline. There's a village of people that constantly live on the shore and the farmer is making arrangements for me to stay with them. Meanwhile the girls and I (I can't remember clearly but I'm 90% sure they were girls) are watching kids splashing in the water. I look across the river and on an island in the middle of the river there are about ten or so dolphin statues that the villagers have made. We keep walking and round this bend in the river. As I come around the curve of the river I see this gorgeous series of waterfalls that run into the river. I actually said to the girls, "That's beautiful!" Then I see about three dolphins chasing each other through the river. By the end of the dream there's no baby at all. This dream also cut off at a strange spot. And the color theme was tan and white.
I thought it was strange to have two dreams in one night, both with rivers and dolphins. I forgot to mention the baby was tiny and looked sick.
Dolphins

| In the Daylight Everywhere Feels Like Home |

It's been a while since my last post so i thought I'd take a few moments out of my oh-so-busy day to update my LJ. Haven't been up to much and I've got the next two days off so who knows maybe I'll make a cross country trip to see another J-rock group =P That was fun! Well, it wasn't really a cross country trip..... close enough though!
I have been working on my costumes recently. I have the basis for most of my dragoon armor done. I'm about 15% done with Rose in general. Yuna - only about 5% done. But the conventions are a ways away so I've got time. =^_^=
 
I've also been making a really cool masquerade masque. Right now it's in a raw clay form. When the clay dries I will sand it to make it smooth and then paint and decorate it. Once it's finished I'll post a picture. |

| VAMPS! |

So about week ago it seems I was sitting in Leeca's bedroom and we were plotting as to how we could meet up with Miyavi and Gackt. She mentions that Hyde is in the midst of a tour in the US with his band VAMPS. We devise this crazy scenario where we somehow come up with the money to buy tickets to one of his concerts, drive or take a train there and see Hyde in person, who has connections to Gackt, who has connections to Miyavi....you get the point. So as we're searching for the locations of his shows we find that the closest they will get to us is MARYLAND!!!! o.O Appearantly Japanese music artists don't believe that those of us living in the southern United States listen to J-rock or J-pop. Well, needless to say, we're crushed that we will not be seeing Hyde (or Gackt or Miyavi for that matter) ;_; But, don't get your tissues out yet. By some miracle performed of some higher being (or maybe by me asking for my Christmas and birthday presents for the next five years combined) I suddenly find myself amazingly wealthy ^^; or something like that. So three days before the show we purchase our tickets, and ready our cameras. We decide to turn an 800+ mile drive into a 'daycation' to see VAMPS. We left Thursday at about noon and arrive at the venue 7 and a half hours later. Half an hour before the opening of the doors we hike a mile to the back of the line. The only thing going through my head is "Damn, we drove all this way; even through Washington D.C. rush hour traffic, just to get stuck in the back corner of a crowded club. Or maybe not even get in at all." Turns out we were in the middle of a crowded club but we were still close enough to actually see Hyde, K.A.Z. and Ju-ken. We got pushed, prodded, and violated and soaked with bottled water all night but it was so worth it!!! ^^ I bought us some VAMPS tote bags and I splurged to get myself a CD, which I have been listening to every spare second since I got back. We drank some nasty carbonated water -.- we searched for the VAMPS bracelets that we tried to launch over the crowd and onto the stage (never did find one of them). Then as soon as it all started it was over and we were venturing another 7 and a half hours to get back home.  For the first hour after the show everyone sounded all high-pitched. Then gradually, as we were on our way back home, I started gaining more hearing and everything just sounded muffled. Actually it would have sounded exactly like when I get water in my ears after swimming except for that constant ringing o.O Some how we managed to make it home unscathed (aside from our busted eardrums) on no sleep and one energy drink each. I walked through the door, dropped all of my belongings, jumped on the internet to post "great show" on the Vamps page, stumbled my way to the bathroom to take a shower, pulled on some pj's, hopped into bed and waited for the incessant ringing in my eardrums to carry me away to dreamland. ^_~ After four hours sprawled haplessly across my bed on my sweet, sweet pillow my alarm interjected rudely into my unconsciousness. It was screaming at me to wake up and prepare myself for the inevitable...a Friday night at work. I still can't believe it all happened. It somewhat feels like a dream. But I saw Hyde!!! And even though, ultimately, our plan failed it was well worth the time and the effort! "Don't worry, I will take care of you tonight!" |

| Vamps in Concert!! |

So hopefully if everything goes well Leeca and I will be traveling all the way to Baltimore, Maryland to see Vamps!! I'm so excited and a little bit nervous. If we make it to the meet and greet we will get to see Hyde up close in person ^_~ But good gosh I'm going to be tired on Friday at work. 7and a half hours each way just for one concert ... My god Leeca we're crazy!!!!! But we already knew that ;p
And if our plan works Hyde will make use of his many connections to hook us up with Gackt and Miyavi. Then.....goodbye world, for I will be in heaven ^^; obsessive much? I think not!

| Crazy Dreams |

The other night I was on Gaia chatting with this weird girl named AngelLeeca ;p Anyways we kept talking about Gundam Wing. Then I saw the infamous Gundam replica commercial on Adult swim. I guess somehow Gundam was pounded into my subconscious. That night I had a crazy awesome dream about none other than.......can you guess it? That's right! GUNDAM WING!!
It was a couple of nights ago, so I don't remember everything exactly, but I think it went something like this...It started out with the whole GW gang hanging out on a colony. Even my bestest bud Leeca was there! All of a sudden Heero gets a call on his cell o.O (I don't remeber Heero ever having a cell phone, but oh well) And he and almost everyone else took off in their Gundams. Me and Leeca are sitting there talking when I get a call. It's Trowa, he's screaming at me to help him. Appearantly, someone had turned the pilots against each other and everyone was attacking Trowa, poor Trowa. Anyway...I get into my own personal Gundam. I can't really remeber what it looks like, but I help Trowa fend of Heero and Duo. I don't really know what happened after that, I just Remember jumping out of my Gundam and the sun was rising. It was really pretty ;_;

So, if you have an obsession with Final Fantasy like I do, you'll spend all of your spare time finding new Final Fantasy material to keep yourself entertained. Let's face it, no matter how wonderously awesome Advent Children might be......and it is.....you can only watch it so many times until it's embedded into your brain. Then you don't have to watch it anymore because it's all photographically stored up there ^^; I speak from experience.
Anyways, the point of all that was to introduce the fact that I have found more amazingly hilarious Final Fantasy media. These are a series of clips from Nico Nico Douga. Just the pure combination of dancing chibi Final Fantasy characters, including but not limited to dancing chibi moogles and chocobos, Cloud dressed as a girl o.O (scarey), and an impossibly cheery and giddy Sephiroth makes watching these worthwhile. Guaranteed to give you a chuckle at least ^_~

Someone out there has it out for me I swear!!!! An old friend just contacted me and wants to do lunch to 'catch up'. Leeca, it's someone from WCU. Someone I don't like! Someone my stupid butt agreed to go out to lunch with. Argggg!!!! I'm such a moron!! I felt so bad. I haven't seen this person in like three years or more, and I didn't want to just be like "no, that's alright, besides I don't really like you all that much anyway..." As if once wasn't enough!!!!
So this poses the question: How do you blow someone off without being rude or mean?
Do you lie to them? 'Actually I'll be really busy all week long, no chance of hanging out this week' (knowing you'll be doing absolutely nothing but working on a cosplay costume, or playing Final Fantasy) It just seems so wrong, and fake. Does that person know you just lied to them? They're thinking 'Yeah, she's not going to be doing anything but playing Final Fantasy or making a cosplay costume. She's just avoiding me...'
Curse my bad luck, curse it all to hell!!

If you can't handle very emotional movies don't go see 'Up'. I swear I had tears in my eyes throughout almost the entire film. You would think that being a kid's movie it would be more funny than sad but nope. Actually there were a lot of amusing parts.... the talking dog who could speak Japanese was great. I was sitting there thinking 'the dog probably speaks Japanese better than I do'. Over all it was a great movie, just very emotional.
I have to register for my Fall classes at RCCC. I keep putting it off. Anyways, when I get my Anime Cafe up and running are you gonna come work with me Leeca? You can be my comanager! I can't wait for it!!! It's going to be so cool, and we will get to meet a ton of anime fans. Akira's Anime and Cosplay Cafe. Is that too much? Maybe just Akira's Anime Cafe? |

I already started working on my costume for AZ2010. I bought the tights yesterday and I'm about halfway done with the leg armor. I still need to buy the boots and shirt and model magic/clay (about ten tons of that). Who knew costumes could be so expensive... oh yeah, I already knew that. Well, so far it's been pretty easy. Just wait til I get to the torso and such. You won't hear from me for weeks. I'll be locked in a basement somewhere making model magic foam armor. That's kind of scary if you think about it because I don't have a basement o.O
*glares at Leeca 'We should do this costume, it'll be fun'* naw, just kidding, I'm glad you made me start early this time. Maybe this go around I'll get more than four hours of sleep the week before the convention. Or maybe not...
On a random side note: You ever have one of those days where you stay hungry no matter what you eat? That's today for me. |

Wow, so Jay starts talking about how he's planning on joining the military in August. He called his recruiter and that's the soonest they can get him in. But he's thinking about going into active duty. >.> not good for me. He'll be away for about four years and unless we get married, we can't live together. I really don't want to get married right now. But if we do get married and I live on base with him the government will pay for my college classes. Then again, the grants I have cover my classes I'm taking right now.
I think I'd rather just stay here and wait for him. It makes me sad to think that he might be shipped off anytime anywhere ;_; Oh well, as long as he comes home safely at the end of his term I don't mind. I can wait for him ^^ |

Well, as much fun as it was the convention is now over. ;_; Ja ne Animazement! We will miss you. Leeca, want to go to Ichibancon with me next year?. That's the one in Concord! We won't have to get a hotel room. It's within driving distance. I thinks it's the first year for that con (Jan 8-10 2010)
Aside from the minor costume mishaps and malfunctions everything was all groovy. I didn't do anything wild or outrageous ((or dangerously passionate (inside joke to Leeca) ha ha)) Only regret: not going back to the dealer's room in time. Oh well, I still got to buy myself something from artist's alley. And I got some really great pictures! Yay! I'll post the pictures soon.
All in all, ton's of fun. It just felt weird not being at the Sheraton this year. And getting lost in Raleigh was a bit frustrating but we made it home! |

So I'm beginning to wonder if going to AZ 09 is such a great idea. Leeaca, I'm so glad you said maybe to Friday. If that maybe turns into a no, sadly I won't be going at all. Don't think you're that special............ ^_~ just kidding! But seriously, I don't want to go alone because J and I have had some issues lately (long story). And lately I've been having strange dreams. About someone from my past.....someone I met at AZ. Are you putting this all together? So, you're there not only as my friend who loves AZ as much as me, but also as my bodyguard keeping me from doing something idiotic. So you see the problem I have if I go alone? If you can't go Friday then we will just have to go to another con. Which is probably the safer route anyways.
